Gael or Breton is a term used to refer to the Celtic language spoken in Brittany, an area in northwest France. The language is also known as CELT, which is a four-letter acronym for the language. Gael or Breton is a member of the Brythonic branch of the Celtic languages, and is closely related to Cornish and Welsh. It is spoken by approximately 200, 000 people in Brittany, and is also spoken in some parts of Canada.
