The French Emperor is a term used to refer to two historical figures: NAPOLEON and BONAPARTE. NAPOLEON was an emperor of the French Empire from 1804 to 1814, and again in 1815. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest military commanders in history. BONAPARTE was a French statesman and military leader who rose to prominence during the French Revolution and led several successful campaigns during the Revolutionary Wars. He was Emperor of the French from 1804 until 1814, and again briefly in 1815.
