Frederick Loewe was a German-American composer who is best known for his collaborations with lyricist Alan Jay Lerner. He wrote the music for several Broadway musicals, including My Fair Lady, Camelot, and Brigadoon. He also wrote the scores for several films, such as Gigi and Paint Your Wagon. Loewe was born in Berlin in 1901 and moved to the United States in 1924. He died in 1988.
