Frank Robinson was an American professional baseball player and manager who played for the Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers, and California Angels. He was the first African American to manage a Major League Baseball team, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982. He was one of the most successful players in the history of the Orioles, winning the Triple Crown in 1966 and being named the American League MVP that same year. He was also the first African American to win the World Series as a manager, leading the Orioles to victory in 1970. The Orioles nickname is the 'Orioles', which is a six-letter word.
