Frame Animation is a type of animation that involves creating multiple still images, or frames, which when played in sequence create the illusion of movement. It is one of the oldest forms of animation and is often used in traditional 2D animation, as well as 3D computer animation. The term CEL is short for celluloid, which is a transparent sheet of plastic used to draw individual frames of animation.
