Fossey Subjects refers to the GORILLAS and APES studied by primatologist Dian Fossey. Fossey is best known for her work with mountain GORILLAS in Rwanda, which she studied for 18 years until her murder in 1985. Her research focused on the behavior of these animals and their interactions with humans. She also studied chimpanzees in the Congo and other primates in Africa. Fossey's work has been credited with helping to save the mountain gorilla from extinction.
