Fossey's Subjects refers to the GORILLAS that were studied by primatologist Dian Fossey. Fossey was an American zoologist who conducted an extensive study of the mountain GORILLAS in Rwanda from 1966 until her death in 1985. Her research focused on the behavior and social interactions of the GORILLAS, and she was able to gain their trust and observe them in their natural habitat. Fossey's work was instrumental in raising awareness of the plight of the endangered species and led to the establishment of the Karisoke Research Center, which continues to monitor the GORILLAS today.
