FORT Knox, Kentucky is a United States Army post located in the state of Kentucky. It is the home of the U.S. Army Human Resources Command, the U.S. Army Armor Center and School, and the U.S. Army Cadet Command. It is also the site of the U.S. Bullion Depository, which is the repository for most of the United States' gold reserves. The post is named after Major General Henry Knox, who was the first Secretary of War for the United States.
