Yitzhak Rabin was an Israeli politician and the fifth Prime Minister of Israel, serving from 1974 to 1977 and again from 1992 until his assassination in 1995. He was a member of the Labor Party and is widely regarded as a symbol of the Israeli–Palestinian peace process. Rabin was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1994 for his role in negotiating the Oslo Accords with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.
