Bud Selig was the former Commissioner of Major League Baseball from 1992 to 2015. He was the ninth Commissioner in MLB history and is credited with helping to restore the game's popularity after the 1994 strike. Selig was also instrumental in the introduction of the Wild Card, Interleague Play, and the World Baseball Classic. He also oversaw the expansion of MLB to 30 teams and the creation of the MLB Network.
