Miloš Forman was a Czech-American film director, screenwriter, actor, and professor who is best known for directing the films One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) and Amadeus (1984). He won two Academy Awards for Best Director and four Golden Globe Awards. Forman was born in 1932 in Čáslav, Czechoslovakia and emigrated to the United States in 1968. He began his career as a director in the 1960s in Czechoslovakia and continued to make films in the United States until his death in 2018.
