Alison Lurie is an American novelist, essayist, and academic who has written extensively on foreign affairs. She is best known for her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, Foreign Affairs, which was adapted into a feature film in 1984. She has also written several other novels, including The War Between the Tates, Real People, and The Truth About Lorin Jones. In addition to her fiction writing, she has published numerous essays and articles on foreign affairs, as well as books on language and culture.
