The term 'Flyer of Myth' refers to two mythical figures from Greek mythology, Icarus and the ROC. Icarus was a young man who attempted to fly with wings made of feathers and wax, but flew too close to the sun, melting the wax and causing him to fall into the sea. The ROC was a giant bird of prey that was said to be able to carry an elephant in its talons. Both of these figures are associated with the idea of flight, and thus are referred to as 'Flyers of Myth'.
