An ICEBERG is a large floating frozen mass of freshwater ice that has broken off from a glacier or an ice shelf. It is usually found in the ocean and can be seen in polar regions such as the Arctic and Antarctic. Icebergs are formed when chunks of ice break away from glaciers and drift out to sea. They can range in size from small pieces of ice to massive structures that can be hundreds of feet tall.
