Ian Fleming was an English author and journalist who is best known for creating the fictional British spy, James Bond. He wrote twelve Bond novels and two short story collections, as well as a number of non-fiction works. Fleming also wrote the screenplay for the first Bond film, Dr. No. He is credited with introducing the iconic character to the world and creating the popular franchise that has spawned numerous films, books, and video games.
