Nora Ephron was an American filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, and author. She is best known for her romantic comedy films such as When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, and You've Got Mail. She also wrote and directed the hit film Julie & Julia. Ephron was nominated for three Academy Awards and won a BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay for When Harry Met Sally. She was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie, or a Dramatic Special for her work on the HBO movie Lucky Numbers.
