Film director Sam Raimi is an American filmmaker, actor, and producer. He is best known for directing the Spider-Man trilogy (2002–2007) and the horror-comedy film series Evil Dead (1981–1992). Raimi has also directed a number of other successful films, including Darkman (1990), The Quick and the Dead (1995), A Simple Plan (1998), and Oz the Great and Powerful (2013). He is also the creator of the television series Ash vs Evil Dead (2015–2018).
