Fencing blades are the weapons used in the sport of fencing. The two most common types of blades are the epee and the FOIL. The epee is a heavier, stiffer blade with a triangular cross-section and a large bell guard. The FOIL is a lighter, more flexible blade with a rectangular cross-section and a small bell guard.
