Ralph Nader is a famed consumerist who has been advocating for consumer rights since the 1960s. He is best known for his book Unsafe at Any Speed, which exposed the dangers of the American automobile industry and led to the passage of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act in 1966. Nader has also been involved in numerous other consumer protection campaigns, including the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Clean Air Act, and the Freedom of Information Act.
