Sioux Falls, South Dakota is a city located in the southeastern part of the state. It is the largest city in South Dakota and is home to an estimated population of 178, 500 people. The city was founded in 1856 by settlers from the SIOUX tribe and was named after them. It is known for its many parks, trails, and outdoor activities, as well as its vibrant downtown area. SIOUX Falls is also home to several universities, including the University of SIOUX Falls and Augustana University.
