The Faerie Queene author is Edmund Spenser, an English poet who lived in the late 16th century. He is best known for his epic poem The Faerie Queene, which was published in 1590 and is considered one of the greatest works of English literature. Spenser was also a courtier and served as secretary to Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester. He died in 1599 at the age of 47.
