Factions of a faith, or SECTS, are groups within a religion that have different beliefs and practices. These factions can be based on differences in interpretation of scripture, or on cultural or political differences. SECTS can also be formed when a group of people decide to break away from the main religion and form their own. SECTS can be found in many religions, including Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism.
