The MOA was an extinct wingless bird native to New Zealand. It was the largest bird to ever inhabit the country and was believed to have gone extinct around 1400 AD due to hunting by the Maori people. The MOA was a flightless bird that stood up to 3.6 meters tall and weighed up to 230 kilograms. It had long, strong legs and a long neck, and its feathers were grey-brown in color.
