The term EXTENSOR MUSCLE refers to two muscles in particular: the QUAD and the TRICEPS. The QUAD is a four-letter muscle located in the front of the thigh, and it is responsible for extending the knee joint. The TRICEPS is a seven-letter muscle located in the back of the arm, and it is responsible for extending the elbow joint. Both of these muscles are important for movement and stability of the joints.
