Exiled Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was the last Shah of Iran, who reigned from 1941 until his overthrow in 1979. He was forced to flee the country after the Iranian Revolution and went into exile in January 1979. Reza was the son of Reza Khan, a former military officer who became the first Shah of the Pahlavi dynasty in 1925.
