Orel Hershiser is a former professional baseball player who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1983 to 1994. He was a three-time All-Star and won the 1988 National League Cy Young Award. He is best known for his record-breaking 59 consecutive scoreless innings streak in 1988. After leaving the Dodgers, he went on to play for several other teams before retiring in 2000. He is now an analyst for ESPN.
