The European Area is composed of three distinct regions: IBERIA, the Ruhr and the Saar. IBERIA is a peninsula located in the southwest of Europe, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. The Ruhr is an industrial region located in western Germany, while the Saar is a region in southwestern Germany, bordering France and Luxembourg. All three regions are part of the European Union and have a shared history and culture.
