Erstwhile NFLer Laram is a five-letter acronym for the former National Football League player, Lamar Smith. He was a running back who played for the Miami Dolphins and the New Orleans Saints from 1997 to 2003. During his time in the NFL, he rushed for over 4, 000 yards and scored 28 touchdowns. He was also selected to the Pro Bowl in 2000. After retiring from the NFL, he went on to become a coach and currently serves as the running backs coach for the University of South Florida.
