The English Royal House is composed of six dynasties: the Tudors, Stuarts, Yorks, Lancasters, Plantagenets, and Hanover. The Tudor dynasty ruled from 1485 to 1603, and was followed by the Stuart dynasty, which ruled from 1603 to 1714. The York dynasty ruled from 1461 to 1485, while the Lancaster dynasty ruled from 1399 to 1461. The Plantagenet dynasty ruled from 1154 to 1399, and the Hanover dynasty ruled from 1714 to 1901.
