English Quaker is a term used to describe a member of the Religious Society of Friends, also known as Quakers, who are native English speakers. The term is derived from the name of the founder of the Quaker movement, George Fox, who was born in England in 1624. William Penn, an English Quaker, was an important figure in the history of the Quakers and founded the Province of Pennsylvania in 1681.
