Sada Thompson was an Emmy Award-winning American actress. She won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in the television series Family in 1976. She was also nominated for two other Emmys, one for her role in the miniseries Sybil in 1976 and another for her role in the television movie The Dollmaker in 1985. She had a long career in television, film, and theater, appearing in numerous productions throughout her lifetime.
