Emmy-winner Alan ALDA is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and author. He is best known for his role as Hawkeye Pierce in the television series M*A*S*H, for which he won six Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award. He has also appeared in films such as The Seduction of Joe Tynan (1979), Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), and The Aviator (2004). ALDA has been nominated for an Academy Award, two Tony Awards, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.
