Eleni Director Peter Yates was a British film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on the films 'FRENZY' (1972), 'The Dresser' (1983), and 'Hope and Glory' (1987). He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director for 'The Dresser'. Yates was also the director of the 1985 film 'Eleni', which was based on the novel of the same name by Nicholas Gage. The film tells the story of a Greek-American woman's search for her mother's killers during the Greek Civil War.
