An ANODE is a part of an electrolytic cell, which is a device that uses electricity to cause a chemical reaction. An ANODE is the electrode at which oxidation occurs, and it is typically made of a metal or other conductive material. The ANODE is negatively charged, and it attracts positively charged ions in the electrolyte solution. These ions are then oxidized, releasing electrons which flow through the external circuit and back to the cathode.
