Electric Resistance Units, commonly referred to as Ohms (4 letters), are a unit of measurement used to measure the amount of resistance in an electrical circuit. This resistance is measured in ohms and is represented by the Greek letter omega (Ω). The higher the resistance, the more difficult it is for electricity to flow through the circuit. Ohms are used in many different applications, such as measuring the resistance of a wire or the power of a motor.
