El Greco's City is Toledo, a city in central Spain. It is the capital of the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha and the province of Toledo. Toledo has a rich history, having been a major cultural center since Roman times. It was also the capital of the Visigothic kingdom and an important city during the Muslim occupation of Spain. El Greco, a famous Spanish painter, lived in Toledo for much of his life and many of his works are inspired by the city.
