Abel was the first murder victim in the Bible, as described in Genesis 4. He was the son of Adam and Eve's second son, Cain, who killed him out of jealousy. ABEL was a shepherd and his brother Cain was a farmer. ABEL's death is seen as the first example of violence in the world.
