EARLY BRIT is a term used to refer to the early inhabitants of Britain, including the Celts, Picts, and Saxons. The Celts were an Iron Age people who inhabited much of Europe and the British Isles from around 800 BC to the Roman conquest in 43 AD. The Picts were a tribal confederation of peoples who lived in what is now eastern and northern Scotland during the Late Iron Age and Early Medieval periods. The Saxons were a Germanic people who settled in Britain during the 5th century AD and eventually became the dominant cultural group in England.
