Irene Dunne was an American actress and singer who starred in a number of films during the 1930s and 1940s. She was known for her roles in romantic comedies such as The Awful Truth, My Favorite Wife, and Life with Father. She was nominated for five Academy Awards and won two honorary Oscars for her contributions to the film industry. Dunne was also the first woman to be nominated for Best Actress three times. She was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
