The term 'Dubai Dignitaries' refers to the rulers of Dubai, known as Emirs. An Emir is a traditional title of a ruler or prince in the Middle East and North Africa. The current ruler of Dubai is Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who has held the position since 2006. He is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the ruler of the Emirate of Dubai. Other members of the royal family also hold positions of power in Dubai, such as Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.
