Alex Van Halen is a Dutch-American musician and songwriter best known as the drummer of the hard rock band Van Halen. He is the older brother of the band's lead singer, Eddie Van Halen. ALEX was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands and moved to Pasadena, California with his family at the age of seven. He began playing drums at an early age and joined his brother's band in 1974. He has been the drummer for Van Halen since its inception and has played on all of their studio albums. ALEX is widely regarded as one of the greatest drummers of all time.
