Sean O'Casey was an Irish dramatist and playwright who wrote a number of plays in the early 20th century. He is best known for his works such as Juno and the Paycock, The Plough and the Stars, and The Shadow of a Gunman. O'Casey was born in Dublin in 1880 and died in 1964. He was a major figure in the Irish Literary Revival and was one of the first writers to bring Irish culture to the world stage.
