Henrik Ibsen was a Norwegian playwright and poet who is widely considered to be one of the greatest dramatists of all time. He wrote a number of plays that are still performed today, including A Doll's House, Hedda Gabler, and The Wild Duck. He is credited with helping to develop the modern European theatre. His works often explored the themes of morality, social justice, and the human condition. He was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of St. Olav in 1892.
