The Dixie Chicks, The is an American country music TRIO composed of sisters Martie Erwin Maguire and Emily Erwin Robison, and lead singer Natalie Maines. The group formed in 1989 and achieved commercial success in 1998 with their debut album Wide Open Spaces. The group has since released several successful albums, including Fly, Home, Taking the Long Way, and Gaslighter. The group's most recent album, Gaslighter, was released in 2020. The group is also known for their activism, particularly in support of the LGBT community.
