Divers' gear is a term used to describe the equipment used by divers when they go underwater. This includes snorkels, which are tubes used to breathe while swimming on the surface of the water; wetsuits, which are tight-fitting garments that keep divers warm and provide protection from the elements; MASKS, which are used to protect the eyes and face from the water; and scuba, which is an acronym for Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, and is used to allow divers to stay underwater for extended periods of time.
