Disney's EPCOT Center is a theme park located at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. It opened on October 1, 1982 and was the second of four theme parks built at the resort. The acronym EPCOT stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, a utopian city of the future planned by Walt Disney. The park is divided into two sections: Future World, which features technological innovations, and World Showcase, which celebrates the culture and cuisine of 11 countries.
