DISMOUNTS is an action that involves getting off of a horse or other type of mount. It is the opposite of mounting, which is the act of getting on a horse or other type of mount. Dismounting is usually done by sliding off the side of the horse or mount and then stepping down to the ground. Dismounting can also be done by jumping off the mount.
