Luc Besson is a French film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for directing the films 'The Fifth Element' and 'Leon: The Professional'. He is also the founder of EuropaCorp, a film production company. Besson has been nominated for several awards, including two Cesar Awards and two Saturn Awards. He is also the recipient of the Legion of Honour, France's highest civilian honour.
