A diplomatic residence is a home or other building used by a diplomat, such as an ambassador or consul, to live in while they are stationed in a foreign country. A CONSULATE is an official office of a government that is located in a foreign country and is responsible for providing assistance to citizens of the home country who are living or traveling abroad. The CONSULATE is also responsible for protecting the interests of the home country in the foreign country.
