Kate Spade was an American fashion designer and businesswoman. She was best known for her line of designer handbags, clothing, jewelry, shoes, stationery, eyewear, and fragrances. She was the founder and former co-owner of the designer brand, KATE Spade New York. She was also the namesake of the KATE Spade New York Foundation, which she founded in 2017 to support mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
